External Case Cutter
An External Case Cutter (ECC) is a specialized machining attachment or tool primarily used in the oil and gas industry, especially in wellhead maintenance, work over operations, and plug and abandonment (P&A) processes. It is designed to cut through the outer casing of well bores without damaging the internal components.
An External Case Cutter is mounted on the external diameter (OD) of a casing, pipe, or tubular structure and performs precise, concentric radial cuts. It's commonly adapted to a split-frame cold cutting machine, which clamps around the casing and rotates the cutter around the pipe circumference.

Internal Case Cutter
An Internal Case Cutter (ICC) is a down hole cutting tool designed to cut from inside the casing or tubing. It operates by expanding its cutting arms or blades radially outward to cut through the inner wall of the casing.
